Safe Haven By Nicholas Sparks

As I said before in New Book From Nicholas Sparks  I was very excited to read Safe Haven.  I finished this book last night and am so excited to share it with you. Don't worry, I won't give anything away.

I have read ALL of Nicholas Sparks previous books and this one may be my favorite. I say this because it has all the elements of his books that I have come to love with a twist of something new.  All his books are easy to read. He pulls you into the story like no one else I have ever read. I cry at some point during every book and it is always a good cry. In Safe Haven Sparks taps into something new, suspense. I found myself speed reading because of it. I really liked this new element and separated it from being the usual Sparks novel (even though I still LOVE the typical Sparks novel). I hope he incorporates more suspense into future novels.

If you haven't read Sparks before then you should start with Safe Haven. If you have read him before then what are you waiting for!

I would love your thoughts on the book, but I must ask that you do not reveal anything that would spoil the book for others.

Busy Busy Busy

I know we are all busy but I just wanted to check in since I haven't written in a little while. Things have been busy here for lots of reasons. One of the best is because I have joined a travel agency to help you plan magical vacations.

I have had several booking transfers and each family will receive a $50 Disney gift card. If you have a trip booked directly with Disney let me know so that you can also get a $50 gift card to spend on your trip.

I have also started doing quotes. So much fun to help people plan their vacations and help them know they are getting the best price.

I know this is the Disney-Free zone, sort of, so if you want more info then go to my Disney Diva Tips website for more info. You can also request a free quote at the top of the page.

Beef Stew

I love a warm bowl of beef stew on a cold, rainy day...so guess what in the crock pot right now.

My beef stew is so easy and gluten free. You can make it in the crockpot by adding the ingredients in the order shown or cook it on the stove.

3 cups V8 or 2 cans 11.5 ounces each
2 cups hot water
1 can petite diced tomatoes
3 beef bullion cubes
2 pounds of beef cubed - use bottom round, rump roast, or London broil
10 ounces slices mushrooms
16 ounces frozen mixed vegetables (this is a great opportunity to use up half bags of frozen vegetables)
2 potatoes cubed
1 small onion chopped

Put it all in the crock pot and let it cook away for 4 to 5 hours on high. If you want to thicken it then make a slurry of corn starch and water and pour it in, stir and let it cook on high until its thick about 1/2 hour.
